REGISTRATION:
DEADLINE: Performers must be registered by June 30, 2016 in order to participate.
CHECK IN: Performers must check in at the MANDATORY REGISTRATION on the day of the audition. Mandatory Registration will be done as follows:
A performer may check in 60 minutes prior to the start of auditions but no later than 5 minutes before the audition begins.
Youth Auditions (16 and under) begin at 12 PM (40 maximum performers)
Adult Auditions (17+) begin at 2 PM (40 maximum performers)
Failure to check in will result in automatic disqualification from the Auditions.
RULES
- Prepare a 2 minutes for auditions
- Prepare a 4 minute routine for Finals
- Bands bring their own instruments
- Bring a CD with your song
- No fire, sharp objects, weapons or explosives (pyrotechnics) allowed.
JUDGING CRITERIA
25 points = Poise on stage (i.e., how you present yourself on stage)
25 points = Presentation of talent (including appropriate dress)
25 points = Quality of Performance
25 points = Originality of the performer(s)
100 POINTS = MAXIMUM NUMBER OF POINTS PER ACT
TIE-BREAKER: The audience will determine the winner by applause
PENALTY POINTS:
EXCEEDING THE PERFORMANCE TIME LIMIT PER ACT:
MINUS 10 POINTS = for every 20 seconds past the time limit per act.
DISQUALIFICATION = If you or your group exceed the time limit beyond 60 seconds, you/your group will be disqualified!
NO RULES WILL BE REVISITED
NO PROTESTS WILL BE ALLOWED.
