Macy\u2019s helps local charity raise funds and awareness for providing scholarships, athletic support, health and community development in developing countries with a focus on Jamaica through the national \u201cShop For A Cause\u201d charity shopping event\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

For the first time, Macy\u2019s is partnering with LAMB Foundation and inviting customers to participate in Macy\u2019s eleventh annual national \u201cShop For A Cause\u201d charity shopping event, taking place Friday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016.<\/strong> Customers can begin purchasing shopping passes from LAMB Foundation now.<\/strong> Macy\u2019s \u201cShop For A Cause\u201d is a unique shopping event dedicated to supporting local nonprofit organizations\u2019 fundraising efforts. Formerly a one-day initiative, this year Macy\u2019s has extended \u201cShop For A Cause\u201d to a weekend-long event. Since 2006, the program has helped raise tens of millions of dollars for charities throughout the country, and more than 5,000 charities signed up to participate last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Macy\u2019s, we believe in supporting the communities where our customers and associates live and work,\u201d said Holly Thomas, Macy\u2019s group vice president of cause marketing. \u201cThat is why we are so proud of Shop For A Cause, which has helped raise tens of millions of dollars for charitable organizations since 2006. With this year\u2019s extension to a weekend-long event, we\u2019re offering even more opportunity to support local and national causes, and thanking our customers with special savings at Macy\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

Macy\u2019s has provided LAMB Foundation with shopping passes to sell for $5 each, and the organization will keep 100% of the proceeds for every shopping pass that it sells. By purchasing a shopping pass from LAMB Foundation, customers support their goal of providing scholarships, athletic support, and health\/community development in developing countries with a focus on Jamaica. Plus customers can enjoy spectacular discounts at Macy\u2019s stores all weekend long from Friday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016<\/p>\n
